Dr. Vasant Ramlaggan, D.D.S., H.B.Sc,

Member of DOCS, AGD, ODA, CDA, AACD, TACD

-completed a 4 year Honours Bachelor of Science degree at the St. George campus of the University of Toronto, Specializing in Microbiology and Majoring in Human Biology.

-graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the School of Dental Medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo, a top six U.S. dental school

-in addition to his four year Doctor of Dental Surgery degree programme, Dr. Ramlaggan chose to return to his community of Southern Ontario and completed a one year Special Care Dentistry programme in which he had the opportunity to treat a variety of patients including those with disabilities in settings that included Northern Ontario communities, special care facilities, hospitals and the University of Toronto dental school.

-has gained a great variety of experience through his choice to work at several dental practices in the Golden Horseshoe area. Working with many dentists in various group settings has allowed Dr. Ramlaggan to observe and implement the ideas and experiences of different dentists.

-draws on his variety of experience gained from working in service industries and research environments.

-continues his education in dentistry by attending various courses and conventions, and continues to learn and exchange ideas by communicating with other dentists about the current practice of dentistry.

-firmly believes that participation in the dental community is imperative to maintaining his practice and, as such, actively participates in the Ontario Dental Association, to which he has belonged since his return from the School of Dental Medicine. Also, during his dental education, Dr. Ramlaggan maintained a membership with the American Student Dental Association, the school arm of the American Dental Association (ADA).

Over the years, Dr. Ramlaggan has maintained an active extracurricular life including some sports activities and volunteering.
